Water kinematics

The water kinematics describes how the sea condition is considered to affect the structure. Currents can be applied with a depth profile as uniform or by power law. The wave kinematics is provided externally through a defined DLL interface and the direction is independent of current. The current available dll from DTU Wind Energy includes:

- Linear airy waves
- Irregular airy waves: Directional spreading, JONSWAP or Pierson–Moskowitz spectrum
- Deterministic irregular airy waves
- Pre-generated water kinematic
- Wheeler stretching for load application points
